Our boy. He is three!
I am not sure how it happened…but it did and now we have a three year old in the house! We celebrated his birthday on Saturday by having a “Grey day” and doing all of his favorite things. We started the morning with streamers and balloons, had pancakes for breakfast, took a trip to the arcade and his favorite coffee shop (for a cookie). He requested “Chick Da Fey” for lunch and after that we had a Hot Wheels cake and opened presents with Grandpa and Gigi. The big hits were his garbage truck that opens (highly requested), a basketball hoop, nerf gun and a new puzzle. It was a really fun day for our big three year old!
Grey is full of energy and still doesn’t sleep. However, when he does sleep, he falls asleep by himself which is huge! It took a while for us to get there but we finally did.
One of his very favorite things to do is ride his bike and he recently learned how to ride without training wheels! Now he cruises around the neighborhood and I am tempted to buy my own bike so I can keep up!
He exclusively pees in his diaper and exclusively poops in the toilet…or the backyard. We are working on it!
He is still obsessed with Hot Wheels and plays with them for 99% of his day. If you want to get on his good side, buy him a new car.
He hates taking naps but is much more pleasant if he does. On the days that he does nap, he has to snuggle for a few minutes after he wakes up and I love it.
He loves his sister and makes her laugh by running around the living room like a crazy man! They both end up in a fit of giggles.
He wears a football jersey on football Sunday, doesn’t like when his clothes are too tight and refuses to wear a sweater even when it’s 40 degrees outside.
He prefers it when his hair is messy and is a good sport about letting us get the tangles out.
If you leave the house he has to stand outside and watch you go…and if we leave your house we have to roll his window down so that he can wave goodbye.
He is really reserved around new people but give him a few minutes and he’ll warm up to you.
He has two teddy bears…one named “Donch” and one named “Jon Bear”. Jon Bear because Jon gave him the bear…Donch because……no one knows.
He likes to play rough with his Dad but only after we clean up all the cars!
He likes to cook breakfast with Mom and insists on picking out which eggs we use.
He says the funniest things and also repeats a lot of the things we say…so we are watching our mouths very closely!
He loves Gigi’s dogs but doesn’t like it when they lick him. He puts his hand up as a “stop sign” to tell them “No!”
He has quite the personality these days. I asked him if we could take some birthday pictures of him and this is what I got.
Orange fingers courtesy of his orange birthday cake.
We love our sweet boy so much and can’t wait to see what the next year brings!
Happy Birthday, Grey!
I also interviewed Grey for his third birthday.
