Our Scarlett Mae is another month old! It doesn’t seem fair how quickly time flies. She continues to grow like crazy weighing in at 16.2 lbs and wearing size 9 month clothing! It’s funny because the 9 month onesies fit her body but are a little long on her arms. She will grow into them, though!
We had a bit of a health scare with her this past month. I took her in the doctor to get a rash on her neck looked at…which turned out to be fine but while we were there our doctor noticed a ridge running across her head. She was a little concerned that the plates in her head were growing together too quickly which would apparently hinder her brain growth. She ordered an ultrasound for the following week. I got into my car after that appointment and just bawled my eyes out. Of course as a parent your biggest fear is something happening to your children. I immediately started thinking of worst case scenarios and what we would do if her concerns were correct. We went in for her ultrasound the following week and thankfully everything looked normal! They are just going to keep an eye on her head over the next few appointments…but as my mom pointed out, my head had the same exact ridge. We are just so thankful and happy that she is okay!
Other than that, she has just been our happy, healthy baby girl! She is still sleeping like an angel, giggles all the time and really wants to sit up! Any time she is leaning back in her car seat or her bouncer, she tries her hardest to sit up. She will also roll to her side if she is laying on her back.
I have a feeling she will be following in her brother’s footsteps and getting teeth soon. She is always drooling and wanting to chew on everything! Grey popped his first teeth through at four months so it wouldn’t surprise me if she did the same.
Scarlett is the most laid back baby I have ever met! She has a bit of a cold and you would not know it if it wasn’t for her snotty nose. She doesn’t even seem to notice that she is under the weather! She is still just happy as can be. Even when she wakes up at night to eat she doesn’t even cry! She just kind of grunts until I wake up to feed her. Also I should mention she only wakes up to eat twice! I cannot believe how much sleep I am getting with a three month old. Grey was the complete opposite! It’s crazy how different they already are.
It has only been three months but we can’t imagine life without her!
Happy three months Scarlett Mae!
We adore you!
