Ah, cleaning the bathroom. Possibly my least favorite household duty…no wait, cleaning out the fridge is way worse! Anyways, my mom taught me a bathroom cleaning routine when I was younger and I still clean our bathrooms the same exact way now! Also, I find myself cleaning our bathrooms twice as much during this time of year because of the holidays! We constantly have people in and out and I always want them to use a clean bathroom. I thought I’d share my cleaning routine and also a free printable so that you won’t forget any steps!
Step 1: DUST. I always dust everything first. I find that this makes it a lot easier once I actually wipe everything down. I dust the counters, mirrors, tub, toilet and any decorations or wall hangings.
Step 2: CLEAN MIRRORS. Pretty self explanatory.
Step 3: CLEAN & DISINFECT. Next I wipe down the counter, sinks and faucets. After that I move to the bathtub, faucet and bath toys. Lastly, I wipe down the shower and faucet.
Step 4: SCRUB TOILET. This used to be my least favorite part but now thanks to the Scotch-Brite® Disposable Toilet Scrubber and Scotch-Brite® Disposable Toilet Scrubber Refills, it’s actually not so bad! This scrubber is life changing. It has disposable pads that scrub your toilet and reach literally every corner of the bowl. I didn’t realize how disgusting it was underneath the rim of my toilet until I used this scrubber! It scrubs the messes you’ve been leaving behind! The scrubber pad actually has built in cleaner and pumice to get the toilet super clean. The best part? You just toss the pad in the trash when you’re done! There is a buy one get one FREE starter kit at Kroger right now!
You can find it in the cleaning aisle.
Look how clean that toilet is!!
Step 5: VACCUM AND MOP. I usually just run our vacuum over the floor and then do a quick mop!
Step 6: WASH RUGS. This is vital! I used to always forget to wash my rugs but you need to! They get so icky. I just throw mine right into the washing machine.
Step 7: EMPTY TRASH. Last, but not least, take that trash out!
Don’t forget to download the free printable! You can access it, here.
