Tis the season for gift guides, galore! I personally find them super helpful so I thought I would round up some of Grey’s favorite things plus some stuff on his wish list this year! (You know, the wish list I made up for him since every time I ask what he wants for Christmas he says, “Umm…apple? Ah-nana?”.) Anyways, here are some toddler gift ideas!
For the shopper who has no idea what to get a toddler (or a baby):
Incredibundles! This is a genius idea and I wish I would’ve found it sooner! I have partnered with Incredibundles for today’s gift guide and they sent us a bundle of our own! As you can tell by the look on Grey’s face he was so excited to open up his gifts! This is a foolproof way to shop for babies and toddlers because they have pre-made bundles for you to choose from. You can also create you own which is what I did and we got two books, a set of pull back cars (that Grey is obsessed with), egg shakers and a ball! They have a lot of different prince ranges to choose from and you can even purchase a years supply of diapers, books or toys! What an awesome idea for a gift, right? They have generously offered to give away a $50 gift card to one of my readers so don’t forget to enter at the bottom of this post!
For the toddler who wakes up at the crack of dawn:
Grey is an early riser. He likes to wake up at 5 but then daylight savings time had to interfere and he started waking up at 4. NOT OKAY!! We decided to purchase this “Ok to Wake” alarm clock after reading a lot of positive reviews and I am so glad we bought it. We have been using it for less than a week and it is already working! The clock will light up in the morning at whatever time you set it to so that your toddler knows it’s okay to get out of bed. It only took a couple of nights for Grey to catch on and now he goes back to sleep when I tell him he has to wait for the light. Oh, but once that light turns on he is OUT of that bed in a heartbeat.
For the toddler who is over sitting in a stroller:
Guys, this is by far one of our most used items…ever! It’s a stroller handle! You just hook it onto your stroller and that way your toddler can walk on his own but will also stay close to you. We use this everywhere and most recently took it to the zoo where we were asked about it at least five times! My sister actually bought this for us shortly after Grey started walking and it has been one of the best gifts we’ve received!
For the toddler that likes to paint…or make a mess:
Dot markers! A friend recently told me about these and Grey loves them. I have found that he gets kind of bored with regular crayons or colored pencils but these markers keep him entertained for quite a while! (Long enough for me to cook dinner, woo hoo!) He loves stamping them on the paper and they also help him learn his colors. TIP: Tape some parchment paper down to avoid any accidental dot marks on your table.
For the toddler that likes to shop:
We don’t have a shopping cart for Grey yet but anytime a friend has one that is the first toy he goes to! What can I say…the kid loves to shop! They also have these at the children’s museum and he loves loading it up with all of the fake food! It’s definitely on his Christmas list this year.
For the toddler that wants a water bottle just like Mommas:
Another spot on gift from my sister! He loves his klean kanteen! It doesn’t spill, it’s easy to clean and you can just throw it in the dishwasher. It also comes in a bunch of fun colors. Whenever he sees me drinking from my water bottle he asks for “Grey’s water”. It’s so cute!
For the toddler who is not quite ready for a bike:
Last but not least, a strider bike! This is going to be our big gift to Grey this year and I can’t wait for him to get it! My nephew had one when we were in Seattle a couple of months ago and Grey loved it! It’s perfect because they just use their feet to pedal instead of having to balance. I have also heard that it makes it easier for them to learn how to ride an actual bike when they are ready.
