Happy Wednesday! Today I am introducing you to Maggie from Mama Sew Crafty! She is a stay at home Mom…or should I say work from home Mom who has a couple of businesses on the side! You’ll have to check out her blog if you are into DIY crafts. She is super creative and has tons of fun ideas!
1. What is your name? How many children do you have and what are their ages?
Maggie Murphy. I am mom to two little girls, ages one and two. I also am a stepmom to 4 wonderful kids ☺️
2. What is the #1 thing that surprised you the most about becoming a Mom?
Probably how much I worry. I’ve always been a little anxious and knew “parents always worry about their kids.” I remember the night both girls slept through the night for the first time. Instead of rejoicing in the fact they were sleeping, I was in ninja mode constantly checking to make sure they were on their backs, breathing, etc. Can you say helicopter mom? ☺️
3. What is something you wish you had known before having children?
You know how you hear people say “I don’t know when it happened, but I became my mother” or something along those lines? I know exactly when it happened. Pretty soon after I became a mom I really started to recognize it. I wish I had known that would happen, I may not have stressed so much over “doing it right.” Proud to be my mama’s girl.
4. What is your favorite go to easy meal or snack?
I have a confession, I have nearly 0 skills in the kitchen minus pre-heating the oven. But there is one easy meal I love doing. Sauteed chicken with yellow seasoned rice and green beans.
5. What is your most embarrassing/funny moment as a Mom?
So so many. And most involve lack of sleep. My favorite would probably be the first week my oldest daughter was home from the hospital. She was napping in her crib. I was doing laundry and other chores. I was carrying her video baby monitor around with me to keep an eye (and ear) out. All the sudden I heard a noise coming from her room so I peeked at the screen and my hear t stopped. Someone was standing by her crib, but she and I were the only ones home. I was a hot second away from calling the police when I realized I was watching myself put away laundry ?
