Kane woke up bright and early with Grey so that I could sleep in, made me an incredible pancake breakfast and then surprised me with the best blog post ever!
He tells me all the time how much he appreciates me but seeing it all written out like that really meant so much. He definitely knows how to speak my love language and that blog post is something I am going to cherish forever. I have read it a thousand times already and every time it makes me laugh and cry. That man and his words!
After Grey’s nap we headed out to go for a walk. (My favorite thing to do!) But first, Kane went to Dunkin Donuts to get my favorite coffee. Mothers Day wouldn’t have been complete without it! We went to one of our favorite spots to go on a little walk and the weather was perfect. Grey was not in the mood to take pictures, though! He just wanted to run everywhere! We spent the majority of our walk chasing after him and redirecting him away from dogs, balls, picnics, etc. but he was so cute running everywhere that we didn’t mind.
Once we got home, Kane started on dinner. He made the most amazing rib roast with a side of mac n cheese. I am so lucky that I married such an amazing cook! It was the perfect end to the perfect day.
I feel so blessed that I am a Mom. I know that not everyone has the opportunity and I don’t take it for granted. I wrote a little bit about it on Instagram but I just want to say again that my heart is with those who are struggling to get pregnant, who have lost babies or children and who have lost their own Moms.
I hope all of you had a good weekend…and thank you so much for reading!
I love you all!
PS My mom wrote the most amazing post for me last year. Read it, here!
