I always sit Grey at the bottom of the stairs to put his shoes on before we leave the house and last night he grabbed his shoes, sat down on the step and patiently waited for one of us to help him put his shoes on.
Oh how quickly I went from having a little baby to having a full blown toddler.
He walks, he talks, he has a lot of personality and his giggle just about kills me.
I feel like I haven’t written about Grey in a while since I’m not doing monthly updates but there have been so many changes.
File all of these under the “things I don’t want to forget about” category.
Grey is so cuddly. He gives big hugs and kisses and wraps his arms around me right before falling asleep. Sometimes, he will be nursing but he’ll also want to hug me so he tries to do both and it melts my heart every single time. Also, in the middle of the night, he’ll wake up, find me, wrap his arms around my neck and fall back asleep.
He can also say “I love you” which sounds more like “Iiioouuu” (if you can imagine what that would sound like) but still, it’s the best thing ever.
Every time Mia starts barking outside, Grey will turn and look at me with wide eyes and a shocked face because he knows that she’s being naughty.
Speaking of being naughty, he is also starting to test us a little bit. He knows when he’s doing something he isn’t supposed to and if we start to tell him no, he will hurry up and finish whatever he was trying to do. (Like putting something in the toilet!) Even though he is being naughty, we secretly love it because it’s so cute.
He still loves his books and if either of us are sitting on the floor, he will get a book, bring it over to us and then sit in our lap so we can read it to him.
(Insert all of the heart eye emojis here!)
I’m sure there will come a day when he doesn’t cuddle me to sleep anymore, he won’t care that Mia is outside barking or he will be able to put his shoes on by himself…and it’s these little things that I’m going to miss the most.
