Grey is officially five months old so I figured it was time for an update on breastfeeding.
In my last update, I mentioned we were having some difficulty with my let down.
I can still feel it but I’m happy to say that 95% of the time he can completely handle it!
I can even nurse him while I’m sitting up.
(Although we definitely prefer laying down if we are at home because duh who doesn’t like to take a break and lay down?!)
I don’t know if he just got a little bit bigger so that he could take in more milk or what but it’s going so much better!
The only struggle we have now is when Grey gets distracted.
He’s at that age where everything is just so interesting!
If I am nursing him and someone talks or my phone rings, he’ll stop eating to check things out.
One way I’ve tried to minimize distractions is by feeding him in a quiet room but sometimes that just isn’t an option.
This is where a nursing cover comes in really handy!
I’m loving my Cover Me Poncho for when we are out and about.
It’s super cute and easy to use. Plus the fabric is so light and breathable so I don’t feel like I’m covering up with a blanket in this Texas heat.
I usually nurse Grey in the car and this poncho is perfect for that but of course it works great out in public as well.
It seriously just looks like part of your outfit so most people won’t even notice that you are nursing your baby!
I highly recommend this for all of you nursing Moms!
Make sure you check out my Instagram today because Cover Me Ponchos is giving away a poncho to one of my readers!!
