WARNING: These cookies are not healthy.
In fact if my blog had a section called “Krista Mae’s Not So Healthy Ways”…this recipe would be filed there.
But when you are in Washington scrolling through Pinterest with your sister and you see a recipe titled “Funfetti Gooey Butter Cookies”…you just have to try them out!!
And they were a complete success so of course I am going to share the recipe!
8 oz. cream cheese, room temp
1/2 cup butter, room temp
1 box Funfetti cake mix
1/4 cup sprinkles
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1. Beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Add in the egg and continue mixing.
(Or if you just moved into a new house and have no idea where your electric mixer is…you can just use a spoon and stir it!)
2. Add in the cake mix and beat until combined. Stir in sprinkles.
(Again, if you don’t have a mixer…dive right in there with your hands!)
3. Chill dough for an hour.
(I think this is what makes the dough extra gooey so it’s a very important step!!)
4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
5. Form dough into 1 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. Place on baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes.
These were incredibly easy to make and will definitely be made again in this household!
I found this recipe on Pinterest…and it is originally from the blog Cookies and Cups!
