I love protein pancakes.
They are so easy to make.
You can switch up the flavor very easily.
They taste delicious.
They are super healthy!
All of the protein pancakes I make start with the same three ingredients:
– Protein Powder
– Greek Yogurt
– 3 Egg Whites
The flavor of protein powder and greek yogurt really depends on what kind of pancake you are craving. That is the best part of protein pancakes! There are so many ways to change it up to get a new flavor.
The flavor I made for this blog post was Chocolate Chip Protein Pancakes. For these, I used vanilla protein and vanilla greek yogurt. All I added to my 3 base ingredients was a small banana and a small handful of chocolate chips. *This recipe makes about four pancakes.*
First you will want to put the 3 base ingredients into a blender.
Add 1/2 of the small banana and 1/2 of the chocolate chips.
Blend all of this together until you get a pancake batter consistency.
Once everything is blended, start cooking just like a regular pancake. **IMPORTANT: Make sure you spray the pan with cooking oil before you start EACH pancake.
You will know the pancake is ready to flip when it starts to bubble.
Flip over until it’s done!
Top the pancakes with the other half of the banana and the rest of the chocolate chips.
The flavor opportunities for protein pancakes are endless! You could use chocolate protein powder, honey greek yogurt, peanut butter, fruit, pure maple syrup, unsweetened cocoa powder, almond milk, raisins, cinnamon, etc. Get creative and see what you can come up with!
