I am home from work today taking care of a sick doggie. Daisy hasn’t been feeling well so I have to feed her a special food today five times and monitor how she’s doing. She seems to be doing a little better so hopefully the food is helping!
Today I am going to go through what I got in my January Birchbox. As always I will put the description straight from the card underneath each product.
The front of the card always has a message from the Birchbox team.
The back of the card has the description and full-size price of each product.
The first item I saw was this mini package that had two samples inside of it.
The first was a perfume sample. “Harvey Prince. Skinny Chic. Get a glass-half-full disposition with this optimistic blend of juicy Meyer lemon, white grapefruit, and pink plumeria. Full-size, $21-55.”
*I am a little confused because on the actual sample it says “crisp green apple, sweet mint and warm amber” but the description on the card says something totally different…
The second sample in the mini packaging was a hair oil. “Ojon. damage reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum. Repair stressed strands with this aromatic hair treatment-exotic ojon and macadamia oils work together to smooth and hydrate hair. Full-size, $25.”
I am actually excited to try this because my hair is super dry!
Next there was a nail polish sample…which are always fun to get! “alessandro. Nail Polish in Blue Lagoon. Launching exclusively in the Birchbox Shop, this extra opaque polish has a satiny formula and wide brush for easy application. Full-size, $12.”
“theBalm cosmetics. Put a Lid On It Eyelid Primer. Keep that pretty eye shadow crease-free with this stay-put primer, which also prevents smudges and smears. Full-size, $18.”
I am excited to try this too and the packaging is really cute!
Fresh. Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream. With antioxidant-rich lotus flower extracts, this lush moisturizer protects skin from free radicals and hydrates for a full 24 hours. Full-size, $42.”
That’s all I got this month. To be honest, I’m not super impressed. I feel like when I first signed up for Birchbox, the boxes were much better. I might give it another month and then maybe try out a different subscription service. However, I did get a nail polish sample and I can’t complain about that!!
