First of all, I came home to over 3,000 total page views on my blog! That is crazy! I want to thank each and every one of you for stopping by and reading….let me know if you have any suggestions on how I can improve my blog. I would love to hear from you!!
Now, I have to tell you about my weekend! I won’t go into too much detail about how everything came about because then this post would be miles long! Basically, when my dad was 19, he unknowingly had a child that was given up for adoption. Of course ever since he found out, he’s been wondering about that child and if it was even true. He told me and my brother when we were young that someday we might meet a half sister or brother. I thought this was the craziest thing and I can remember saying to friends, “how weird is it that I could have a half brother or sister out there somewhere?” I honestly never thought we would find him or her because we weren’t even sure if it was true.
I am sure you can all see where this is headed. To make a long story short, after the help of an adoption agency and a DNA test, my dad finally found his daughter! Of course we all wanted to meet right away so we decided to take a road trip and meet half way in Spokane, WA. My parents, Kane, my brother and I all loaded up into the truck and took of for what would be one of the best weekends of our lives! Spokane was having a festival so that was really fun for us. We walked around, listened to the live music and had some really good conversations. We stayed at The Davenport which was right in the middle of downtown. I highly recommend staying there if you are visiting because it was super close to everything we needed.
Here are some pictures from our weekend!
I am so glad I got to share such an incredible story with you all today. It is so exciting to add new members to our family and I cannot wait to see what’s in store for the future!
