Wow! I cannot believe it’s been almost a month since my last post! I had full intentions of blogging during all of the events but I definitely didn’t. We had so many friends and a lot of family in town so I really just wanted to focus on spending my time with them!
The wedding was amazing! In fact, the entire week leading up to the wedding was amazing! Our family and friends started showing up on Tuesday and from then on we had so much fun! To start things off on Wednesday, me, my mom, her best friend and her three daughters all went and got mani/pedis! We drove to the city which is an hour away so it was a really fun girls trip!
Then on Thursday we had my bridal shower which was perfect! My maid of honor did such a great job on everything and really made me feel special!! We played some fun games and I got some really neat gifts. My bridesmaids are seriously the best ever!
Thursday night was the bachelorette party! We started at the cabin my parent’s rented and once again my MOH did a great job! The decorations were so fun and girly! Kane had his bachelor party the same night so around 11:30 we ended up at the same bar! The rest of the night was out of control (in a good way) with all of the groomsmen and bridesmaids together! We had a blast!
On Friday we had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. (Random side note: our wedding song just came on the radio as I’m typing this! How ironic!) The rehearsal dinner was themed as a “luau” and was thrown by Kane’s parents. They really made it a lot of fun! The whole house was decorated with Hawaiin decor and they grilled up some awesome food! It was just so nice to have everyone together the night before the wedding!
I surprised Kane with a “groom’s cake” that night. It was a huge XBOX cake that said “Achievement Unlocked: Marriage” on top of it. It was so cool!
After that, I said goodbye to Kane for the night. My MOH stayed the night with me back at the house. Thankfully I wasn’t feeling too well and was super tired so I fell right asleep! I was nervous that I was going to be able to but I did! We woke up the next morning and headed to the venue!
Everything went so perfect! I will write an entire blog post on the actual wedding day tomorrow! This one might get a little lengthy if I tried to do it all at once! I will also do one or two blog posts on the honeymoon too…which was probably one of the best trips I’ve ever taken!
Sorry I’ve been gone so long! I have a new schedule worked out for my blogging so hopefully it helps me stay more consistent!
