It has been a long but wonderful weekend! My parents left this morning and we had so much fun with them. They got here at about 9 PM on Friday so we just hung out in the kitchen, had some wine and reminisced on some memories like my 21st in Vegas! On Saturday, the boys headed off to the hill climbs and my mom & I did some wedding stuff. We met with our venue to plan everything out and I’ll admit, I had a little breakdown but after talking to my parents, Kane and my maid of honor, I’m feeling much better about everything. Then we headed into town and went to a party rental store to look at some stuff to rent for the wedding. We found the perfect centerpiece vases! After that we went to Hobby Lobby which I LOVE!! We found some perfect tulle to decorate the arch with and some more to decorate the chairs! I could seriously spend an entire day in that store. After Hobby Lobby, we went to David’s Bridal and picked up my wedding dress! It is so perfect and I cannot wait to wear it!!
Now that everyone is gone, we realized we needed to get groceries so we headed into town to pick some up. I won’t go through everything we got but here is an overview:
We have already planned out our dinners this week so that we don’t get tempted to stray off our diet. Here is what we’ll be eating:
Monday: Firehouse Chili
Tuesday: Omelets with Cauliflower Pancakes
Wednesday: Salsa chicken
Thursday: Beef and Broccoli
Friday: Hot Sauce Chicken
Saturday: We are planning on doing something with tilapia but I’m not sure what yet…
We normally plan out our dinners and there are days when we switch things up if we aren’t feeling like a certain meal. For the most part, we stick to our plan though.
There are a couple of snacks that I have been loving lately so I wanted to talk a little about them. The first is Justin’s Honey Peanut Butter. This stuff is SO good!! You could have it with an apple, on celery or just an occasional spoonful like me 😉
Another snack I’ve been obsessed with especially for work are the 100 calorie pack almonds from Emerald. I love the Cocoa Roast Almonds and the Dry Roasted Almonds. In one pack of the cocoa ones they have 8g fat, 4g carbs, 2g fiber and 3g protein. In the dry roasted they have 9g fat, 4g, carbs, 2g fiber and 4g protein. They are perfect for my afternoon snack at work!
Goals of the Week:
- To drink enough water every day
- To not rely on string cheese for my snacks as much
- To blog on Tuesday
- To get all of my workouts in
