I just got home from my parent’s house and on my four hour drive I did some thinking. I want to start giving myself small weekly goals…but not just goals for one week. Goals that I will carry on after the week…but I want to have a focus. So, for this week I am going to focus on drinking more water. I want to get in AT LEAST a half gallon to one gallon. Staying hydrated is so important for your health, your skin, it can help you lose weight, you will feel better, it aids in digestion, it can boost your mood, the list goes on and on. I really notice a difference in how I feel when I go from drinking a lot of water to not drinking very much. Since it can be kind of difficult to keep track of water throughout the day and carrying around a gallon jug isn’t always practical, I have devised a little system that works for me. I keep a gallon of water in my fridge and fill it up the night before so it’s always full & cold in the morning. Then, I have some water bottles that I will fill throughout the day. If you are working and have access to a fridge, you could keep the gallon in there and just re fill a glass or bottle all day long.
Here is a picture of what I use most often. I really like the pink one on the left (I just found it at Wal Mart) for when I’m just around the house. I use the bamboo bottle for the gym or if I’m running errands. This bamboo bottle is awesome! Kane got it for me for Christmas and it’s nice because there is glass inside that comes out and can go in the dishwasher! Most water bottles have to be hand washed and I really hate hand washing dishes so this works good for me! Anyways, this is just what works for me and it really helps me keep track of how much water I’m drinking on a daily basis.
